Finance Manager - 3-4 Days Per Week

The Company:

NFP organisation based in The Sutherland Shire who support children who are living in family affected environments. 

The Position:

This is a Permanent Part Time position 3-4 days per week.  The Finance Manager will plan, organise, direct, control and coordinate the financial and accounting activities within the organisation, and undertake strategic financial planning and business modelling and ensuring all financial management, including statutory compliance systems are in place and adhered to.

Duties:

  • Oversee the budgeting process and long term forecasting including running sensitivities in the long term forecasting model
  • Manage the cashflow forecasting and reporting thereof to the CEO, Risk Committee and the board in liaison with the fundraising team
  • Prepare monthly financial reports and financial dashboards as required by the CEO, Operations, Risk Committee and the Board
  • Review and highlight financial risks to the CEO, Risk Committee and the Board as required
  • Oversee and develop policies and procedures to ensure the accounts payables and receivables function runs smoothly and in accordance to the finance process and procedures, including the preparation of customer invoices, processing of payments preparing bank reconciliation and all necessary journals required in the finance system currently and as the organisation grows
  • Oversee the payroll function schedule on a fortnightly basis and ensure associated superannuation paid
  • Maintain integrity of Balance sheet by preparing or overseeing the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assisting with funding agreements & acquittal process for grants, including the Audit process if required
  • Prepare and process all tax reporting as required by the ATO, including BAS, Payment Summaries, FBT
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting as required by CEO, ARC and the Board
  • Manage the auditing processes and reporting for end of financial year through collaboration with external    auditors

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3+ years accounting experience within a small/medium sized company
  • Great attention to detail and highly organised
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting practices
  • Not for Profit experience highly desirable
  • Xero experience, an advantage

 

Salary:   $50-55/hour
