THE ROLE:

Reporting to the National Sales Manager you will spend 70% of your time managing existing customers and 30% dedicated to targeting new business opportunities.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining strong relationships with current clients and driving strategic growth initiatives.

This role does require travel to FNQ and SEQ however ideally based out of Brisbane.

As with all sales positions targets are set and achievable.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Physical visits to new and existing customers
  • Act promptly to customer complaints/issues
  • Execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and cold calling
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in sales strategy and execution
  • Prepare quotes, proposals and presentations
  • Negotiate agreements and close sales deals to achieve revenue targets
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Weekly reporting
  • Participate in sales meetings for the sharing of ideas, information and opportunities
  • Product demonstrations
  • Liaise with senior management
  • Represent the company in a professional manner

 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Electrical wholesale experience
  • Proven work experience as a Business Development Manager/Sales Executive
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organisational and management abilities
  • Availability to travel as needed
